Burger King, an American fast food retail network, opened its first outlet in the Grand Canyon shopping centre in St. Petersburg on 26 August 2010.
Overall, since the beginning of the year, seven Burger King restaurants have been launched in Moscow, in addition to the outlet in St. Petersburg. Another Burger King outlet is to appear in the Galeria mall in the latter city by the end of 2010.
On the Russian retail market Burger King restaurants are opened and operated by Shokoladnitsa, which is responsible for the development of the chain in the country.
