DiaWest, the computer and electronics retailer and operator of the Kompyuterny Mir chainon the Ukrainian market, has opened the first store under the Computer Fashion banner. The store, which will stock premium IT goods, is located in Kiev and occupies an area of 300 m2. Should it prove successful, the store will become the flagship outlet of a new chain.
DiaWest has been operating a retail chain of computer technology and consumer electronics stores since 1994. As per information accurate in April 2010, the Kompyuterny Mir chain consisted of 57 stores. The company is expecting to generate sales revenues of $24-25m in 2010, which would represent a 20-25% year-on-year increase.
