Four clothing brands from Western Europe enter St. Petersburg

Four new clothing brands from Western Europe enter Russian retail market and are to have their first stores in St. Petersburg open by the end of 2010: Warehouse, French Connection, River Island and Manoukian. All of the aforementioned brands are to have their first stores in St. Petersburg’s Galereya shopping mall.
Centrepoint, the franchisee of the Warehouse and French Connection brands in Russia, is to lease about 360 m
2 for two stores.
Dialma, the franchisee of the Manoukian brand, is to open a store occupying approximately 170 m
2.
Maratex, the company responsible for the development of the River Island brand in Russia, is to open an 800-m
2 store.

Clothing and footwear retail market in Russia 2010, in 2009 the Russian Clothing, footwear and accessories (CFA) market amounted to RUB 1,525.6bn ($48.1bn), demonstrating 5% growth compared to the previous year.
