Obyedinennyye Konditery launches retail chain at Russian train stations

Obyedinennyye Konditery, a confectionery group, is to open 100 outlets selling sweets at train stations in Russia, based on a contract with Russian Railways, Vedomosti reported. This strategic move will let the company grow a retail chain of its own from the current number of three stores, operating in Moscow.
Twenty outlets will start operation in 2010 under the banner of Lyubimye s Detstva. The first outlet is already functioning at Belorussky Station in Moscow. The average trading space of each store will comprise 40-60 m2.
