Street retail premises in demand again in Moscow


2009-11-16



Only recently many owners of street retail premises in Moscow attempted to dispose of such assets with a 50% discount on the pre-crisis price, but most sale offers have now disappeared. Owners now prefer to rent the premises rather than to sell them. Furthermore, the rents of prime street locations have almost reached pre-crisis levels and are $16,500 per m2 at the moment. At the same time, interest in street retail assets on the part of investors has also increased in comparison with the situation a few months ago.
