British Peacock comes to Novosibirsk

On 30 September 2009 the British clothing chain Peacock opened its first outlet in Novosibirsk, according to NGS.Novosti. The outlet operates in the Mega shopping mall and is located in the area previously occupied by an Esprit store.
Both the Esprit and Peacock brands are developed in Russia by the exclusive franchise partner Maratex. Due to the economic crisis, the company decided to close its upper-price level Esprit chain in the city, and increase the presence of the low- and middle-price segment Peacock chain in its place.
