Magnit wants to build shopping centre in Perm

The Krasnodar-based Tander, the owner of Magnit, one of the largest Russian grocery retailers, intends to construct a shopping centre in Perm. The company is trying to buy out a land site, suitable for the construction of a mall of 6,000-7,000 m2 from the Rial Group.

Currently, Magnit is represented in the Perm Territory by only one discounter format.

As Retail Update Russia, an another Russian retailer – Lenta – is also interested in constructing on the Rial's plot, where it considers to erect one of its grocery hypermarkets.
