The French vegetable processing company
Bonduelle Group is planning to acquire agribusiness assets from another French producer
Cecab Group in Russia and the CIS. The deal is expected to be completed in Q1 2012 but no specific investment sums have been disclosed.
In December 2011 Bonduelle applied to the Federal Anti-monopoly Service (FAS) for permission to acquire 99% of
Kubanskie konservy, which is owned by Cecab Group. The FAS is to consider the decision by 13 March 2012.
Bonduelle Group opened a representative office in Russia in 1994 and subsequently opened a green pea and sweet corn processing facility in Krasnodar Territory. Cecab Group launched its Kubanskie konservy vegetable processing plant in Russia in 2007 with a production capacity of 80 million cans per year.
