DIY retailer
Petrovich is developing a franchise project and the first three units have already opened. Recently, two
Laskor DIY retail stores opened under Petrovich's
Uroven banner. The rebranded stores reopened in the settlements of Ivanovo and Larionovo in Leningrad Province on 1 December 2011 and take up 3,500 m
2 and 4,000 m
2 respectively. The operator of the stores has invested approximately RUB 10-15m ($318,100-477,100) in the launches.
The first Laskor store changed its name to Uroven in July 2011. The opening kicked off Petrovich's franchise programme, which is to continue in 2012, focusing on Leningrad, Pskov, Novgorod provinces and the Republic of Karelia. In the next four years Petrovich hopes to open over 20 franchise outlets in the North-West of Russia, six of which are to be opened in 2012. In St. Petersburg and other regions the company is to open stores independently.
Currently, the company is present on the markets of St. Petersburg, which hosts the bulk of the company's stores, Vyborg, Kingisepp, Volosovo, Luga (all four are in Leningrad Province) and Novgorod. In October this year the company launched its centralised distribution centre (9,000 m
2 of total storage area) which serves the chain's stores in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Province. The company trades basic construction materials.
